The Core Team
I was born in London and spent my childhood on a farm in Somerset. I studied Equestrianism and caught the travel bug whilst working for British, Irish and Brazilian Olympic Team riders in 3-Day-Eventing, Show Jumping and German Junior Dressage Team. I met my husband whilst living in Munich for 11 years and we moved back to London in 2005 where I worked as an Office Manager in a Property Investment and Development company.
We relocated our family, then a 4-week old baby and 13-month-old toddler, when a career opportunity opened in Dublin for my husband in 2011. In 2013, I helped build and managed an independent community called ‘Connect’, exclusive to families of a multi-national company based in Dublin. I saw the need to support relocating families and decided in 2015 to create a unique social network that serves ALL families on a wider scale. Families Go Global was born.
My husband Nick and I moved to Dublin in March of 2016 with our Daughter, Gracie, 5 years old, our son, Madden, 15 months old, and our English Bulldog, Keg. We were thrilled to be offered the opportunity to come to Ireland on a 4-year contract and enjoy all that the country has to offer including the delicious food, the outdoor activities and learning a new culture and a whole.
I am honoured to be the volunteer photographer for Families Go Global. I truly believe in the mission of FGG and have personally reaped many of the benefits for myself and my family. From meeting new friends to getting advice on anything we may need while we are abroad in Ireland.
I am a natural light photographer, who specialises in family portraits and capturing special moments without a lot, or any, posing cues or instructions. I adore photographing children and also furry friends of all shapes and sizes. You can see more of my work on my Facebook page.
I am originally from Montpellier in France. Before moving to Dublin in January 2016, I spent almost 4 years in Seattle (USA) where I had my 2 kids. I am a Stay at Home Mum whilst my husband works. I love to hike and to run, to meet new people, to drink coffee or wine, to cook and to travel.
Originally an Occupational Health and Safety Engineer, I enjoyed helping the french community in the US where I was volunteering for the French consulate.
You’ll see that I also love to talk and feel sometimes a bit frustrated by my English level that prevents me from talking as much as I would like to. I joined FGG as soon as we moved in Ireland as I already experienced a relocation and know how hard it can be to leave your friends and your family.
I am a mother of three wonderfully energetic children. We moved to Dublin in February 2016 for my husband’s job. I am originally from North Carolina, USA but most recently lived in Washington state.
Anytime my husband brought up the possibility of moving to Dublin, I would always say, “I moved across the US for you; I am not moving across the Atlantic Ocean.” Yet, here we are! I am actually really glad we moved; we all truly enjoy Dublin.
Bonjour tout le monde! I am Céline, a French mother who loves trees, beers and languages. I am an avid Wikipedia reader, podcast listener, coursera subscriber and I love watching TED conferences.
I am always on the lookout for a new thing to learn and the last few years have been focused on parenting methods, nutrition and building patience. I live in Dublin City Center with my husband and 3 children, and we enjoy everything Irish and really want to make the best of living here.
